Cytiva was formerly known as GE Healthcare Life Sciences. In 2020, General Electric (GE) announced the sale of its Biopharma business, which included the division known as GE Healthcare Life Sciences, to Danaher Corporation. This transaction involved the acquisition of GE Healthcare Life Sciences by Danaher.
After the acquisition, the Biopharma business unit of GE Healthcare Life Sciences was renamed “Cytiva.” This rebranding occurred in 2020.
Cytiva offers a wide range of products and solutions for bioprocessing, cell culture, chromatography, filtration, and other applications critical to biopharmaceutical research, development, and manufacturing. The company’s products are used in processes related to drug discovery, biomanufacturing, and life sciences research.
